ICSI request Govt to Extend MCA annual filing date

MCA: 2018
24th
October, 2018

Shri Injeti Srinivas,
IAS Secretary to Government of India
Ministry of Corporate Affairs
Shastri Bhawan New Delhi - 110 001

Subject: Extension of last date for annual filing of companies under the Companies Act, 2013

This has reference to ICSI letter dated 15th October, 2018 (copy enclosed) on the above-mentioned subject wherein we had requested to consider granting extension of time for filing the financial statements for the financial year ended 31st March, 2018.

In addition to the difficulties referred to in the previous letter, we wish to bring to your kind notice another major practical difficulty being faced by the corporates. In case of directors who have not filed e-form DIR-3 KYC within the stipulated time, their DIN has been deactivated. As a consequence, the companies having such directors are not able to file their financial statements.

Considering the above facts in consonance with those submitted vide ICSI letter dated 15th October, 2018, you are once again requested to kindly consider granting an extension of time for filing the financial statements for the financial year ended 31st March, 2018 up to 31st December, 2018 without levying an additional fee.

'W& shall be happy to provide any further information or clarification that may be desired in this regard by your good office.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully

(CS Ashok Kumar Dixit)
Officiating Secretary
Encl.: ICSI Representation dated 15th October, 2018
