Roles & Responsibilities (Job Description)
Cost Accounting and Analytics role is a key link between management and all cost centers in the organization. You will be responsible for setting up effective process of capturing, presenting and analyzing cost data in accordance with the GAAP.
Principal Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities
1. Identification of key cost elements and collation of the data points from various functions
2. Construct data accumulation system in alignments with management
3. Planning, and Studying data to determine cost of business activities
4. Finalizing reporting formats and periodic reporting of the cost sheets
5. Providing management with the reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability
6. Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditure
7. Deep dive into each cost element and suggest solutions to improve cost efficiency
Additional Responsibilities
1. Effective liaison among various functions / offices
2. Analysing market trends with respect to pricing and costings
3. Competitive analysis of various cost elements
Qualifications & Capabilities
1. Qualification - ICWA
2. Experience - Overall 5 to 7 years of experience with field of finance / accounting of which minimum 3 years of solid experience in cost accounting
a. Cost accounting experience in chemical / petro chemical industry
3. Knowledge and understanding of Foreign Exchange will be given preference
4. Strong analytical skills
5. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
