Quick Summary
If you've accidentally paid TDS with an incorrect TAN number, leading to the funds being deposited to the wrong entity, don't panic. You can rectify this by writing a letter to your jurisdictional officer, including an affidavit of indemnity. This process typically takes 15-20 days. While awaiting correction, you can proceed with filing your return using the incorrect challan and later amend it to include the correct challan details.
Give a letter to your jurisdictional officer for correction of challan with. an affidavit to indemnify for loss. Same will be changed within 15 -20 days
Till that time file return using this wrong challan & add new challan later on to the return by correction facility .
