Hi Guys,

I am a chartered accountant with over 1 yr of experience...I want to know from working chartered accountants about their work timings..Leaving office on time is a luxury for me...I dont mind streching once or twice in a week.. but becomes hectic when it s daily and that too waiting for somebody and not doing any productive work...:(..Do u guys face any such problems??

Hey Chippy. I have worked as an articled assistant in a medium sized firm. From what i have seen my seniors doing, They also leave at about 8 or 830 in the evening ( Office Timings: 10-6). SO dont worry

All the best and God Bless,

Bonded labours should be ready to work 24 x 7. :) LOL

Hi Chippy,

There is no such thing as "Work Timings". Its a myth that if you have a 9-5 job then u go to office at 9:00AM and leave office at 5:00PM. Though it is totally on case to case basis, sometimes its that because of the work pressure you HAVE TO stay for longer hours. However if in case you have to stretch just because your supervisor is bullying you, I would say you have to gather courage and stand up from your seat just when the clock hits the time. Just go to him/her and say "Do you have anything for me to do today......because i am leaving for the day". Don't ask, just tell. I have been working with the largest IT company in Asia for about 11 months now and trust me if you have your work up-to-date, just keep that attitude in you & nobody can bully you.

Wish you all the luck for future assignments.

Regards

Seriously...most of the time that is the case...:(..and i have seen that the quantity of work which is done between 7-9pm is almost same which i could have done the next day morning in 10 min..Your brain doesnt work because of tiredness..but with a fresh mind it works fast..I am not pointing at someone but most of the people working late are either waiting to escape the traffic or they dont have a family...and we are pulled into that even though we are coming early to office...
