nope...the formatting of the question is such that it puzzles u...

see...the 72 Rs. expense is correct (24 per head)...but it includes the rs. 2 paid for tea...per head expense without tea will be 70/3..not 72/3..and

A,B and C got 1 Re. each back...so 72+ 3 = 75

i am  confused......

in this total 75 ruppes was given to d.

where D have got a discount of rs. 5 which should be returned to A<B AND c equally i.e 1.67 rupees

hence per head cost should be 25-1.67 = 23.33 rupees

in this case D HAVE DRINK THE CUP of tea which COST AB AND C less discount of .67 rupees per head

hence per head cost increased to 24= 23.33+.67 rupees

thats my point 2rs already included in 72

He He, there was a discount of Rs.5/- and after calculating 72 (correct expense), you are adding Rs.2/- for tea, which is incorrect and confusing part pf this puzzle, you have to add discount, not the expense... i.e Rs.3/- not Rs.2/-
