The Supreme Court of India finalized this matter on June 30, 2021. The court ruled that the CA exams would not be postponed and would go ahead from July 5, 2021, as scheduled.

To safeguard students, the court directed ICAI to offer a comprehensive Opt-Out scheme for anyone directly or indirectly impacted by COVID-19, ensuring they could defer to the next cycle without losing an attempt or forfeiting their exam fees.
