Why pay rs500 per paper for certified copy? file rti n save

Dear Students of CA CPT/IPCC/Final n others;

One can ask for the certified copies of the exams given under RTI Act. The fees for RTI application is Rs10/- and Rs 2 per page as Xerox charges. Our ICAI is charging Rs500 per paper. You can get the certified copies of all your papers at a price lower than Rs500.

Jaago graahak jaago!!!!

Also, ICAI has stipulated that the certified copies will be sent by 75 days (plz correct me). What's the use? You can't evaluate your paper, your mistakes; nor you can apply for reverification(which also is a sham;as retotalling is done).

As per RTI Act, the Public Info. Officer (mandatory for each govt org) has to give the information sought for , within 30 days of receipt of application.

Use the privileges which our Legal System has bestowed upon us.

Just a great post.

Thanks a lot Sir.

You said. It costs just 10 rs. Then whats thats. 200 for ipo and rs. 250

You are right Sir. It's of no use to pay Rs. 500/- to ICAI for Certified copies of Answer sheets because we can get the same under RTI Act.

Can you tell me for how much period ICAI preserves answer sheets of students. I mean if any student has given exam in May 2011, can he get the same under RTI Act?

File an RTI asking them about the disposal of answersheets of May2011.....Who was the buyer? How much per kg?

Thanks for the reply Sir.

can anybody tell  me.... that by following the procedure for obtaining sheets under RTI is safe and no problem in regard for future attempts will occur..

Is there need to write whole things in same way as in above aplication while aplying ??

N i also want to knw the same thing which Richa Tyagi asked?

1. Safe because you r supported by the Law.

2. Unsafe, because ICAI could make excuses to justify failing u.

3. Letters in "red font" can be modified as per your convenience. Legal cases are quoted to bolster your case to seek info.

Nice Information. Has anyone been successful when submitting application under RTI? What is the response from the Institute?  I would appreciate a responsse. Thanks.

Sir, i wish to ask whether anyone succeeded and has an experience in this regard..

Thanks in advance..

is anyone got copies from ds manner till nw plsssssssssss any one help me ....?

can anybody tell me that can we file any other question to ICAI other than cheking of sheets etc. For eg. relating to information for restigated members etc.

Yes you can file any Questions with ICAI under RTI

Thank You for Help
