Which Scheme (PCC or IPCC) to get Coneverted from PE-II now?

Well... as far as the syllabus of PCC and IPCC goes it is one and the same. I would advice you to go for IPCC. Registering in PCC will require for registering in articleship as well. And registering in IPCC will require completion of ITT which you must have already done and completion of orientation course which takes 2weeks approx.

So my advice you to go for IPCC clear your exams and then go for articleship.

No, i have neither completed ITT nor orientation course  (2 weeks). in this case, first of all i will have to complete these trainings first or registering for IPCC will include it?

And how can i go for PCC ?

In my thot its not upto u nd u will be converted in IPCC only.

Attached is the Transition scheme from ICAI (Announced around 2008). Accordingto this an student of PE-II can be converted to PCC. here is my confusion, is anything updated has come after this? or, for all PE-II candidates (Thru Completing Foundation) its compulsory to get converted to PCC only?

Now, as i have not even completed my ITT and not even Articalship so it this ok?

As of now you can only convert into IPCC and study as per scheme of IPCC. There is no conversion and registration to PCC..

Ok.. will try to get register for IPCC only. Now, will IPCC registration will cover ITT (100HRs) and Orientation Training (35 HRs)? And also, what is the difference in PCC and IPCC syllabus? If i registers in IPCC then do i have to complete the PCC also?

For PCC you have ITT 100hrs but there is no Orientation Training, but for IPCC you have both ITT and Orientation Training...!!

yes you are right about IPCC scheme.

 There are no majar difference in syllabus. In IPCC there are two papers of accounts namely Accounting(100marks) and Adv. accounting( 100 marks) whereas in PCC only one paper of accounts(100 marks) Syllabus is same... In tax IPCC has incometax 50 marks, service tax 25 marks and vat as 25 marks whereas in PCC incometax 75 marks, servicetax and vat 25 marks... this is only major differnce.

when u  convert to IPCC, u will be governed by IPCC scheme only. your articles will start wen you clear gruop 1 of IPCC.

Ok, It means that if PE-II May 2010 is my last attempt and then also if i want to persue my career in CA then i will have to opt for IPCC scheme. and in the term of completing IPCC, i will also have to complete my 100 Hr ITT as well as Orientation traing?

Hi Gourav , the PCC scheme has been discontinued so u hv 2 compulsarily register for IPCC n before taking up d exam u have 2 complete ur ITT n Orientation Prog.
