Which Microsoft Office Version to be used

1. System Requirements

• Excel Utilities: Macro enabled MS-Office Excel version 2007or 2010 or 2013 on Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 /10 with .Net Framework (3.5 & above). 

• Java Utilities: Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10, Linux and Mac OS 10.x with JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Version 8 with latest updates.

Windows 7 or later are supported (ia64, x64 systems binaries will run on ia32)

Please note, the ARM version of windows is not supported.

I am giving my own efforts below:-

I have tried using MSOffice 2007 with MSWindows 7 ( Net framework fully upto 4.81 and Java updated upto latest 3.71) but does not work.

With MSOffice 2013 can open and work on the Excel utilities but due to bugs, validation issues in CG section.

You had suggested to wait for the new version, ITR-2 excel  version 1.1 released is, also, not bug free, same problem remains.

Till AY2020-21, the excel utilities worked without such issues even on Windows XP with Office 2007 ( dotnet 3.5 ofcourse). Now filing is a nightmare.

Frankly speaking, this year the utilities are not user friendly as yet. Would request to wait till upgradation. Till such time one can prepare the ITRs online and keep them ready for final error free uploading. The work done online is never wasted, it can be downloaded to offline utilities too.
