if auto rickshaw is owned by him then he can declare under the head pgbf u/s. 44AE (itr 4) Or else itr 1
but under 44ae is for only goods vehical???
and Itr 1 - how?
In my opinion ITR3 if he wants to show income less than 8% of turnover assuming most of the proceeds would have collected using cash. other wise 44AD and ITR4.
44AE IS ALLOWED FOR PLYING AND HIRING TOO...AND PROBABLY ITR 1 WON'T APPLY..THANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION NITIN SIR

If he owns the rickshaw then it is business income; ITR-3 or 4S would be filed. It's better to show it under section 44AD to avoid maintaining detailed accounts. If he runs someone’s rickshaw and receives salary then it is salary income; ITR-1 would be filed.
About section 44AE, it is applicable only for goods carriages not for passenger rickshaw.
