I prefer ICAI SMs and PMs and supplementary Materials and other ICAI materials.

I would like to tell you following books for ca inter group 1

1) Accountancy - Padhuka book (especially more question on accounting standards)

2) Costing - I came across costing book of purushottam sir. A great compiler book. it contains rtp, past year question, study material and practice manual. best compiler.

3) Taxation - mk gupta books

4) Law - munish bhandari + pm
 

Refer only study material and practice manual issued by ICAI since the course is new so whatever reference book you buy, it will be a cut copy paste from the study mat and PM itself. Make short notes of your own coz you can't revise all the topics from study mat in 1 day. Moreover, you can buy past 10 year book(Scanner) for practice.
