whether to switch to new course?

Check out the electives paper and the topics it covers. If you feel it is better for you compared to isca then go for it. But also beware the extra stuff you'd have to learn for ama and dt. Also the fact that there's no going back once you switch to new syllabus.

Consider all these factors and then take the decision accordingly. If isca is an absolute nemesis of yours and if you find that you would do better in paper 6 of new syllabus and have lost faith in isca.. You should switch over.

I seriously think the new scheme even more tough than the old one. I'm an old scheme student. But I have some friends in the new scheme. Their books n syllabus looks way too bulky. Also it will be difficult to get classes n all for the new scheme. In my opinion it will be good to work hard for the attempt Nov 2018 in old scheme. After all you have been studying this for sometime, you'll be familiar with the subjects.
