Whether to appear for one or both groups?urgent.

Rank in certainely not a matter in front of knowledge, but it mattres in front of carrer.

As you have suffiient time to prepare for both group I personnaly suggest you to prepare for both group and try to clear it in one go.

My dear, you have sufficient time to appear for both the groups if you manage to regularly read six hours daily. 

Rank does matter specially in job market initially but knowledge is more important in practice and job.

yes, u can prepare for both groups. all this depends upon ur efforts only.

First start on studying u will come to know about the syllabus & the time needed to cover it. I repeat it all depends upon ur efforts only buddy.

At this point of time no need to decide. Simply start your coachings and preparation with full force keeping in mind both groups. After 3-4 months i.e after November 2010 attempt decide this question keeping your preparation at that point of time. 

In other words now it is too early to decide. I appreciate your concern for true knowledge.

sir i went to a coaching centre for getting some information there they one told me that i should start preparation for 1st group and after completion of the syllabus i.e.after 6 months decide whether to give second group also or not.

I think it is difficult for the preparation of 2nd group at that time.

its always better to go for both groups yaar..becoz u can get carry over benefit..and as Ankur sir told decide only after 3-4 months ..ok..nw you register for both groups..and start studies..first start ur first group..always kept in mind that u r a ipcc student so in any way u have to clear first group first..ok..so put all ur effrot to clear first group..and along with that if u can balanc ethe second group also its better...in my opinion go for both group..k.
