If iam a director of a 'x' company and Iam a sole proprietor of 'Y enterprises

Yes, X & Y are related parties under Companies Act 2013. 

Director and proprietor both are one and the same person. and hence both X & Y are related party.

if you are the key management person then you are the related party as per Accounting Standard 18.

Director is deemed to be one of key management person. He is not a puppet.

Director dealing with himself (his proprietory concern) is on what grounds not a non-related party !!
