for shares bought before 31st jan 2018, in itr it asks for fair market value, at is that? where can i find the fair market value of a share ...plz guide , also if person doesn't remember wat price they bought it at as some shares are like 30-40 years back bought shares, wat to write as cost of acquisition?

1.You can get price of shares on 31 01 2018 from exchange website.Multiply with no of shares to get FMV.
