When I read examiner comments in suggested answer book(s) following points are often reminded to the students, i.e.:
-
Students need to work on grammar
-
The answers lack knowledge and understanding of the subject
-
Lacking command over the fundamentals of the subject
-
The candidates need more practical and conceptual exposure of the subject, etc.
The only appreciation that most examiners give is for a particular question in any paper that many students succeeded to answer and/(or) alternative solutions tried for the same. It is surprising that these points are continuing till date and never pointed any new observations.
Also, if we assume, that moderations are done, than only way to escape safe from new trend (Questions compulsory) is by passing with atleast 30-40 marks more than aggregate 50% and capitalize on the examiner comments.
When students give more attention towards presentation and preparation of the subject, yet they fall short by moderation (assuming the only negative aspect behind it!)
It is hard to believe that among PE2 only 43 showed capabiltiy in passing both groups among 1000's, similarly for other level exam(s) too.
Is there any thing more which we should improve???
It is time to make some improvements in our presentation and preparation of the subject to beat the on-going tough standards of examinations....and would like to know interesting feedback from all of you on how we can score better?
