A Partner of a firm of Chartered Accountants during a T.V. interview handed over a bio-data of                  his firm to the Chairperson. Such bio-data detailed the standing with Internationalfirm and also his                 achievements and recognition as an expert in the field of Taxation. The  bio-data was read out    during the said interview

Friends i hav written that clause 7 of first shedule part 1 is applicable in this and CA is guilty, but as given in suggested clause 6 is applicable,  what would you sa....

Clause six is applicable...as he is soliciting the a person and not advertising about it.

Hope this helps..................:)

But the bio data also detailed his achievement and recognition as an expert in field of taxation,is'nt it advertisement of professional attainments,,,?

it was a tv interview and a general conversation,

he has not paid any amount to tv channel for his firms' advertisement

So, in my view, CA is not guilty

and please wait for the experts reply...

even i wrote clause 7...:/

clause 6 is aaplicable as C.A is guilty of professional misconduct due to the interview..
