What to add or reduce while calculating share buy and sell value

Am I correct in thinking that for calculating gain from share sale, we add the following to cost and reduce from sale:

brokerage, exchange charges, SEBI charges, taxes if any BUT NOT STT

Quick Summary
When calculating capital gains from selling shares, it's important to correctly account for associated costs. While many charges like brokerage, exchange fees, SEBI charges, and taxes can be added to the cost base or deducted from the sale proceeds, the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) is an exception. STT should not be included in these calculations.

Only brokerage sir. Nothing else.

Sir, the confusion arose bec I read online that one can add/substract all charges other than STT.

Thanks for clarifying. In any case, the values of other charges are very small.
