What Proof is needed for purchase of paddy from Farmer

Dear All:

I would like to know what proof is needed for purchase of paddy from farmer, as most of the paddy commission agents or brokers who bring the paddy to the market on behalf of the farmer, just give xerox copy of farmer's aadhar and their bank passbook front page details and ask the rice mill owners to make payment to that farmer's account and they do not issue any bill of supply or invoices for it.  The aadhar and bank details are suffice for the purchase of paddy from farmers. Please advise.

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the necessary documentation for purchasing paddy directly from farmers. While Aadhar cards and bank passbook copies are commonly provided by agents, the consensus is that a Mandi copy is legally required by state law for rice mill owners. This ensures a proper record of the transaction.

Awaiting your answer.

Mandi copy must needed as per state law.
