What is the scope of practice in gst in long term?

After completing 1 year, now future figure of GST seems much more clear. I want to know your views that what are the opportunities, challenges and suggestions for a CA fresher who is going to start his career in GST after 3-4 years in "Core" GST practice?

Most of the compliance work will be automated and so can't play a major role in your earning. Now other options come in action are Consultancy and assessment and litigation. Out of them, chances are rare that fresher will get worthy exposure in Litigation in 3-4 years of job in CA firm.

So only consultancy and assessment remains. Due to core GST work, small and medium clients will not come to you permanently.

So what are your views and suggestions

@ CA Piyush.,

Yes... I agreed to You and Your View...

The Small and Medium Clients who is aware the GST they will Come with continue the Opportunity...

But, Some of the Clients Who is Directly Service to End Users Don't be like GST Tax. Bcoz, Many of the Consumers not like Tax in their inwards...

In the Common view GST is Good when the govt give good services to people without "INTERMEDIARY". Otherwise all are SAME...
Absolutely Correct we will have to focus on Small and Medium clients both who survive to manage there account by there own and we will have to help them by providing best guidance...
Yes i agree with you to some extent .

Its new Act & today there is only GST & Income Tax Exists ..so its good opportunity for every Accounted or who is not CA but having goods knowledge of accounts, the GST PRACTITIONER the qualifications require just a B.com. gives additional authority & right to such accountants who are unable to do anything in regard consultancy, Assessment of scrutiny cases. represent client in department etc.

In future who knows might ...Income tax get merged into GST
