Can Anyone tell the amended TDS deducted in the month of March 2011 due date for remittance to Govt.

The due date for March is now made April 30th...Earlier, April 30th was the due date only for the TDS deducted on March 31st and for rest TDS deducted the due date was April 7th as in the case of other months'.

Also due date for filing TDS Return of last quarter is May 15th.

and the deductee has to issued TDS certificate before on 31st day of May'2011

Dear All:

Pl. take note of the due date for TDS/TCS activities relating to the FY 2010-11-Q4

a. Remittance of TDS and TCS for the month of March 2011

Particulars	Last Date
TCS- Tax collected during the month of March’11	7^th April 2011
TDS - Tax deducted during the month of March’11	30^th April 2011

Note:- (a) In case of any TDS / TCS found to be short deducted/collected for the FY 2010-11 (for the period from 1.4.2010 to 28.2.2011) ensure that the same is remitted before 31.3.2011. Otherwise the related expenditure would be disallowed u/s 40(a)(ia) of the Income Tax Act.

(b) Earlier only TDS effected on 31^st March was allowed to be remitted at the end of May. From the FY 2010-11 TDS effected for the whole month of Mar’11 is allowed to be remitted on 30^th April 2011. Therefore there is no requirement to make the payment of March TDS on 7.4.2011. However, TCS for the month of March’11 has to be remitted on or before 7.4.2011.

b. Filing of e-TDS/e-TCS returns for the q4 for the financial year ending March 2011.

Note:- In case, there is no transaction available for reporting in the quarter under any of the forms mentioned

c. Due dates for issue of the TDS/TCS certificates

Note:- In the earlier years TDS certificate in Form 16A is to be issued on monthly basis and TCS certificates in Form 27D is to be issued on half-yearly basis. From the FY 2010-11 onwards, these certificates have to be issued on quarterly basis within 15 days from the due date of payment of tax for the last month of the quarter.
