What is "Stock Category"? Tally 7.2
We usually enter stock items in "Stock Group" and maintain stocks. I just noticed there is one more option called "stock category" right below the "stock group" option.
I would be glad if someone explains to me what the use of "stock category". Is it an alternative for "Stock Group"?

Hi,
Stock Category something like a Stock Group which gives an another dimension to categorize Stock items.
For example, Incase of movies you can create a Group called Hindi, English,etc., to categorize based on languages.
you can create a Stock category like Horror, Action, Family, etc., which another angle for the same stock item.
Simple...
