what does this IPCC results mean?

Aravind.. (CA) (1262 Points)

09 February 2011

the results of ipce examinations are really good nearly with a whopping 20% passouts in bith groups. What does this imply?

Are students becoming so smart in just six months to increase the marks of  all the rankers by almost seven percentage?

the marks of non-first attempters have great increase comparing to previous results.

the question papers were really tough comparing to the last attempt irrespective of choices.

So is this another june,09 attempt that created so many passouts, followed by to stict attempts is nov,09 and may,10.

Can this trendline be expected or the correction is going to be like this hereafter.

I know that we can never expect anything about the exams.

But i think that there has to be some sort of stabilisation of marks, to enable comparability between students.

In CA final(new) results, the marks are gradually increasing from around 520 to 550 and now to 600.

But in the old course its around just 480.

In IPCC, the results have considerable increase from around 510 to 530 and now to 586.

I stongly believe that next attempt is going to be really different.

I want the opinion of the community members on this............
