What Corporates expect from CA ?

Dear All

I ve already completed 1st group CA Final nd got Exemption in 2 Papers in 2nd group in May 2010 exam.

Now as well as preparing for the remaining 2 papers am eager to prepare myself how to face the corporate world both Knowledge wise as well as Self development. Wat books to read to get a broaden knowledge in Finance, Audit, Tax etc.

I expect some good responses from the person who r alreday in Corporates, so that this Thread will be useful to all Young CAs'

Hi,

I think the following are the points which Corporates look for in a prospective candidate who is a CA:

More than theoretical knowledge, how aptly the candidate is able to apply that knowledge to practical situations is important
Whether he is abreast of the recent amendments in the law?
His decisionmaking capability.
His man management capability.
And of course a pleasant personality with good communication skills.
