Objective of Income tax is to Increase the revenue of Indian government so that they can spend back on welfare of public & Country & pays salary to government employees.

stated objectives from esteemed members truly reflect what taxation is meant for.
but I am sorry to state that in a third world economy which grows faster than many world economies fruits of taxation has not reached the people.
