Good Afternoon CCI members
From the time when the famous Vodafone Tax case's was adjudicated, there has been this curiosity among the students of CA (including me) as to why it is such a Landmark Case and why is there such a big havoc created with respect to the sections of the Income Tax Act, 1961. (if one closly looks at the proposed amendments of the proposed Finance Bill, then it is noticiable that most of the amendments have been inserted retrospectively so as to cover such transactions).
I was searching for a lucid summary of the case when i came across this wonderful summary which was indeed exceptionally in an understandable language. Hence I felt like sharing this to you.
