I had bought book of Vinod Agarwal for Auditing for CA final but i had found following things missing in the book
1. Prakhar shama has withdrown his name from book
2. the book has written it is updated but i am not able to found in the book new topics like Guidance note on revised schedule VI, appointment of Cost auditor etc. the same were present in another refernce book
do any bady find this topics any where in the book
I think u will find the guidance notes under the company audit and other relevant chapters and Cost audit procedure is given under "Cost audit under the companies act" on Page 306.
I hope ur talking abt the Jul 2012 edition

yes i am talking about the July 2012 edition only. But where is Guidance note on revised schedule VI.
If you go through the list of publications applicable for NOV 2012 Exam, you will not find guidance note on Rev Sch VI applicable for us either in FR or in Audit. So I think, its not required to be a part of the book.

In my opinion, nothing can be better than paduka, but if u keep the time constraint in mind, assuming that you shall appear for both groups, its advisable to follow Agrawal. But personally i feel Padhuka is the best but very exhaustive.
