yes paper was very lengthy, not only was the theory unexpected but some problems like the ABC  & PERT  ones were also very time consuming. Sooooo many calculations. In this world of MS excel & several engineers one just begins to wonder what ICAI expects. Is our syllabus really relevant to the career of a CA or are the papers just a speed drill. After all just doing things speedily doesn`t assure one that he is intelligent & will be successful. To my mind the papers are set only as an elimination mechanism, nothing more.

the only quality service of our insti is its papers, nothing else. Study material, exam form submission & the rest are all rubbish. Even articleship is totally rubbish. Yet the insti claims, rigorous training scheme, unrivalled...    etc in its journal ads on the education part.

Hey joel dnt get overwhelmed......................................isnt it d pattern in costing for so long time................den why so exorbitant  overreaction....................................................i thnk its more abt managing pressure n stress...................
