Verification or certified copies?

I got 177 in CA Final Group-I exams in the last attempt. I am disheartened by my marks in FR and Law where I was sure of getting an exemption but I ended up getting 46 and 45 respectively. I wanted to apply for Verification of these papers. But which one is beneficial : Verification or obtaining Certified Copies?

Obtaining certified copies is beneficial. Because when they deliver ur certified copies they check each and every answers of yours written by you. They also check whether any answer is not checked or what.. Each and every page of yours answer sheets are again scrutinised..

Plus you will also get to know about your mistakes and the area which you need to cover more properly. Also you come to know about the checking of the icai, allotment of marks to question.

So go for certified copies..
Totally agreed with CA Ankit Garg sir. u should go for certified copies.

hi I suggest you to get your answer sheet  under rti rather than to get it from icai by paying rs 500 per paper.

here is also the proof that such education body i.e ICSI or ICAI try to make students fool by charging such a huge amt for getting certified copy of answer sheet even not in hard copy. delhi jhigh court has stopped ICSI on petition filled by a student and now it must be done to stop ICAI also.

Ok. I understand. But, is it applicable to ICAI also?

Dear Sir,

I applied for both Verification as well as for certified copies. I failed in Grp 2 and got surprised marks.

So, plz let me know whether we shall apply for both the above. As, i couldn't have the idea and applied for the same as per instruction given in ICAI Exam site.

Priyanka Makani RTI is applicable and it is clear if you click on the links. So far as case is cocerned petiton was filled against ICSI and not ICAI. But the actual fact is that such institutes take advantages of unawareness of people about their right that has been given to them under RTI act. You can file an RTI online by paying just Rs 10. And as per rti act you have to pay rs 2 per page for getting any information on paper. i.e.A4 size. And if any additional fees is required it will be shown on status application after you have filled RTI request online.  If you want to file rti online here is the link :  https://rtionline.gov.in/guidelines.php?request.

If for both verification and certified copy is applied then the you will receive the certified copy only after verification. In short you will get verified certified copy of answer sheet.

You may obtain certified copies.

But the only thing you need to keep in mind is to check your e mail everyday. The link to obtain certified copies will be sent to your e mail ID but it would expire after a few days. So if you don't click on the link and download the certified copy before it expires, you will end up losing your money.

Thanks a lot for the inputs Pooja.!! I will apply for the same.

Start studying again since there may be almost nil chance to get changes in marks
A student with 59 marks dont get 60 so better start studies again your precious time will be save
@ priyanka - call for the copies so that u r sure everything is checked. pls don't fall into RTI and stuff..u will simply waste time. also as suggested keep a track of ur emails and also check spam/thrash mails for the link in future.
