as per the budget of rajasthan the normal rate of vat tax is 5%. I want to know that what is the rate on iron scrap after the budget

The state government has increased the rate of tax on sales of all goods falling in Schedule IV, i.e., the goods for which rate of tax has been prescribed specifically 4% earlier to 5% with immediate effect, .i.e., w.e.f. 09.03.2010. In other words the goods which were taxable @ 4% earlier has become taxable @ 5%. ( Notification E.12(22)FD/Tax/10-83).
