The state government has increased the rate of tax on sales of all goods falling in Schedule IV, i.e., the goods for which rate of tax has been prescribed specifically  4% earlier to 5% with immediate effect, .i.e., w.e.f. 09.03.2010. In other words the goods which were taxable @ 4% earlier has become taxable @ 5%. ( Notification E.12(22)FD/Tax/10-83).
