and have passed 2nd group in old syllabus.
Will the exemption of a paper in group 1 carry forward if I convert to new syllabus?

Yes there is a detailed Chart of Exquivalent & corresponding Papers exemption eligibility on ICAI site Pls refer that rather than keep asking here
