I have a query regarding mentioning of ward no. / circle / range in the ITR Form 1
My friend is a salaried employee at Pune. His permanent address is at Sultanpur, UP and his PAN is made at Agra.
1. Which address should be preferably given in the ITR?
2. What should be the appropriate IT Ward No. / Circle / Range?
3. Can IT Ward No. / Circle be changed accordiing to the address ?
Kindly help me with the answers.

See first of all the address you mention must be the residential address.
Now if you are residing at one place but your ward is at another place, you will have to write a letter to the income tax department of the city where you are residing now and send a copy of the letter to the previous income tax ward.
They will transfer your file through computer to the current place.
Actually my friend's hometown is Sultanpur, UP but he is currently working at Pune. As per his PAN his current jurisdiction is Pune.. but he wants to give his permanent address (i.e of sultanpur) in the ITR form.
Can he so while giving the Ward/Circle no. of Pune with the address of Sultanpur?
