I have purchased goods from Gujrat to be transported to Assam. Meanwhile, on the way, after crossing Gujrat, Delhi, UP and Bihar, The trucks are being held up in WB check post, for reason being the Truck has Xerox Copy of the Bill and not the original bill.
My question is that is it mandatory to carry original bill along with the truck or copy of bill can be carried ( Computerised bill generated from Tally ). Also if its not legal, that can other state sales tax person can hold the truck for that issue and what are the fine implications in the same.
