Dear All

When IPO comes say company share issue price is Rs.100 of f.v 10/- and co. take whole amount of share at one time with premium but we read in books that co. made first call second call and also book face value amount say rs. 10 .  Rs. 2 on application , Rs. 5 on allotment and rest all on when co. makes call. Is company generally do so in books? And what about making first call & second call.

As per my opinion asking entire money at the time of public issue or through first or second call is dependent on the reputation and policy of the company.

In practical life it is rare to see the bookish funda like making first, second and final call.

No practical interpretation of first call, second call, only bookish.
