why they are not mentioning the purpose ...they need details in urgent and mails r received

in spam folder...many will not be aware of such mail.

Yes, we are not aware why the Ministry of Corporate Affairs seeking such information. It would have been better, if the Institute had issued some notification on the website officially so that members could update the required information faster without any hesitation.

please make assure about the receiver is geniune or not before sending any detail.

No, there is a clarification issued by Mr. T karthikeyan, the Secretary of ICAI to send out the details on urgent basis.

Something fishy about it!. ICAI website would have displayed some message. It is a possibilty that some one has hacked into ICAI database to get e-mail address of members.

That email is not fake, it is genuine, which is confirmed by the Chairman of Ahmedabad Branch of ICAI CA. Aniket Talati.

And even in today morning I have received email from the Regional Council Member CA. Parag Raval, that being genuine email he has requested to comply with it.
