To keep a track of material supplied to labour, you can always go through requisition slips by the labour and issue slips of stores. and by the working standard of the industry you can always trace the deviations of material supplied for a particular job.
In QuickBooks, you can create job under customers, then charge material buying and the labour cost to the paritucular job. You will get the perforect job cost Report.

Good news. I am very happy to inform that we will be getting the Quickbooks for India very soon. At present Intuit released the beta version of Online Edition of Quickbooks for testing purpose. I have throughly checked the each & every module and found that it can be used for Indian Book Keeping. It has the features of TDS, VAT & Service Tax.
This is only online Edition and you can use it for free for the time being.
