Up to 31st march 2011 service tax was payable on receipt basis. from 1/4/2011 it is on accrual basis.i want to know whether this amended provision is applicable for PCC Nov2011.And whether Finance Act 2010 or 2011 is applicable for the exam.

Dear Sharath,
Though I am not sure, but in case of Direct Taxes Amendments upto six months before Exams are applicable and in case of Indirect Taxes amendments upto 90 days before the examination date are applicable. Supplementary for both Direct & Indirect taxes are available, It clearly specifies the applicability of such amendments.
