On July, 2009, ICAI framed a Committe to decide on the reduction of articleship period to 3 years for the PCC students.

i spoke to CA Jaydeep Shah( Chairman ,Board of studies) over this matter........its going to take time....around 3 months...ICAI is busy with COUNCIL elections now.
