I have saved my ITR4 return with necessary details under old tax regime and not submitted yet. I have filed 10IE and I have ack no. with me. I wanted to incorporate the ack no. and change it to new tax regime. The portal is not allowing me to correct it to new tax regime. Please suggest as to how to handle this.

Even for assessees who correctly choose new tax regime, System does not at present allow to fill up acknowledgement no. Probably, this may be corrected in future. At least you are lucky. I am unable to file even Form 10-IE. Just want to know whether you have filed 10-IE through EVC or DSC?
Thanks for your reply. I verified 10IE through EVC. If i fill the return now again on online mode using "generate fresh" option using 10IE acknowledgement no., will it work?
Thanks for the information. I am not aware of ITR-4 generation, since, for me ITR-3 is applicable, which is not yet enabled. You may wait for some more time.
