Dear Experts,

My client has two pan cards. one before marriage and another applied after marriage . Now the second is linked to adhar card and hence I am not being able to put correction to original pan card.

5 Years Income Tax Returns have aleady been filed under old Pan .

Please guide as now I need to apply for GSTN.

Visiting Ward office for cancellation will work for the already linked PAN CARD.

Quick Summary
A user sought advice on how to proceed when a client possesses two PAN cards: one from before marriage and another applied after marriage, linked to Aadhaar. The older PAN has been used for five years of income tax returns. The user needed guidance on resolving this to apply for GSTN, specifically asking if visiting the ward office for cancellation would work for the Aadhaar-linked PAN. Following advice to contact the jurisdictional AO to surrender the new PAN and demonstrate the use of the old one for returns, the user confirmed the application was accepted at the ward office.

You need to Connect your jurisdictional AO, tell them you want to surrender your new pan card and want to cancel it. And show them that you have already used your old pan for filing of return.

Yes sir thank you I had been to Ward and my application accepted.

Thank you

Your welcome Madam
