Every GST registration has Trade Name but the registration can't have two trade names .
You can carry multiple business under single registration within the state but it should be with the same trade name .

Two seperate registration is a proposition.
If both are belongs to same PAN then you can have a single GST registration with same trade name but in your case you must have two GST registrations since you need different trade name

Trade Name can be different. here legal name only same as per pan. So, You can use Your pan with two different business under one GSTIN...

For GST Purposes Legal Name & Trade Name both will be there on the GST Certificate.

It simple commonsense that how can one carry business with trade name which different from GST Certificate?
Legal name is just to identify ownership but trade is for carrying business with particular name .
