Can i give two account details ( Acct no & MICR ) in ITR for an individual having no taxable income as there is only one place for such in ITR form.

Bank Account details are mandatory only if the assessee has any refund receivable from the dept. Otherwise it is not necessary.

The following bank details are required to be given:

Bank Account Number

Name of Bank

MICR Code

@ Giridhar Bank name is not required in ITR form if you fill it after downloading from Income tax site. Only Bank Act no & MICR details are required. My question was whether i can give two account nos in single ITR form? If you do not give your acct no then it will be termed as defective return as the coloumn has been made mandatory from AY 2012-13. Plz correct me if m wrong..

Bank details are mandatory in ITR.. Plz enter only 1 a/c no. and corresponding MICR code

Yes only bank a/c no. and MICR code is required to be filled in ITR. You can not give two Bank A/c details because there is only one place for such.

Besides this the MICR code cell will not accept more than nine digit then how will u give two bank details.

@ Aanya.. i am also doing the same but my client has three account and all has significant transactions in them. Its ok but i think it should be approved by IT deptt. Thanks & Regards Alok

Having innumerable bank a/cs is immaterial... Just enter a single a/c details and upload

@ khushbu... I also know the same. I had asked that if there is any way to do so..... did not said that i will be doing such..

Anyways..

Thanks

be blessed....
