Quick Summary
This discussion addresses discrepancies between reported turnover in GSTR 9 and company books for FY 2018-19. It guides users to compare Table 4 (from GSTR 1) and Table 9 (from GSTR 3B) of GSTR 9 with their accounting records. If adjustments are not made by September of the following financial year, the advice is to pay the tax liability with interest on the excess turnover declared in GSTR 9.

Please mention F.Y wherein turnover reported less .

 1)   please check  Taxable value  and Tax   amount  in  Table 4  of  GSTR 9  F.Y 2018-19  (  This table is auto populated from GSTR1 you filed during the year  2018-19 )  , is it as per the books ?   confirm .

2) please check  Table 9  of GSTR 9  wherein you will  get  Tax paid  during the  year for  F.Y 2018-19  auto populated form GSTR3B

    Tally  Table 4 & Table 9 .

3)  For F.y 2018-19  adjustments  are allowed up to  Sept  2019 .

Thanks for the reply sir, my query is what if the adjustments are not made up to sep 2019? is it sufficient if I show excess turnover in gstr9 and providing reason in 9c?

you have to pay tax  liability  with  Interest   for  excess  turnover  reported  in  GSTR9  now .

Agree with Mr Prasad
