Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to report derivative trading in an Income Tax Return (ITR). It addresses the calculation of turnover, distinguishing between actual sales/purchases and the total of favourable/unfavourable differences. The guidance suggests showing actual sales and purchases in the ITR, rather than just the net difference, especially when considering tax audit applicability.
