Transportation Expenses In invoice with good

If in the invoice, item value (including GST @ 5%) is Rs. 10000 and Transportation expense is also in invoice is Rs. 10000 ( also includes GST @ 5%)

Total invoice Value= Rs. 20000

Whether we have to paid the GST in RCM on Transportations Expenses or Not ?

As we already give 5% GST in invoice to the party ?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Goods and Services Tax (GST) implications for transportation expenses included in an invoice. It explains that if the transportation expense is part of a single invoice with goods and GST is already charged at 5%, Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) is generally not applicable. You can typically claim input tax credit on these expenses, provided the invoice is not issued by a Goods Transport Agency (GTA) where specific RCM rules might apply.

No need to pay rcm on it
RCM is not applicable
Can I claim input on the transportation expenses of above mention amount (10000) if item of good and transportation expenses in single invoice ?

Yes you can claim itc

Since the invoice is not issued by a GTA, there is no requirement to pay GST under reverse charge.
If invoice is not issued then GST should not be charged
