Do we need to charge tax on the transportation charges or can we show it separately without Tax

no you need to add all other expenses and at end you have to calculate tax on total
if the transport service is unregistered and he is not charging any tax then you are liable to pay tax in term of reverse charge mechanism with the rate of 5% in case of goods.
can we take input credit of reverse charge
Yes credit is allowed except blocked credits.
