Transfer sum from current account to savings account

I am a businessmen and i  deposit cash in my current account. around 2 lakh per month as business income.

I wanted to know can i transfer some sum from current account to savings account for personal investment  purpose like share tradings, fds etc.

Or is it a wrong practice to do.

Also every year i have to deposit payment for PPF and by the new year start i have no sum in my current account hence i have to deposit cash into PPF which i think is not wise practice.

Should i  forward some sum into savings and make the payment from it?
