Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a spouse, particularly a government employee's wife, can open and operate a trading account for intraday trading and investments in the UK. The consensus is that she can indeed open her own account for these activities. However, using a joint bank account for trading purposes is strongly advised against and generally not permissible.

She can do intraday trading, investment in shares and derivatives.

Try to avoid joint accoy
Due to some reasons currently my wife don't have single holder account... so for time being joint account can be used or this is totally unacceptable
No joint account can't be used
