Trade License

My wife has a small garments business(Capital-Rs.30000)register on home adress(Kolkata)under MSME.She wants to sell through e-commerce websites (where GST Registration compulsory).So,my questions are-
can she apply for GST Registration? &
does she require to obtain Trade License?

As Notification 65/2017 CT dated 15.11.2017 exempt suppliers of services through an e-commerce platform from obtaining compulsory registration. As a result, all service providers, whether supplying intra-State, inter-State or through ecommerce operator, will be exempt from obtaining GST registration, provided their aggregate turnover is below the twenty lacs. Earlier there was compulsory registration under such persons.

Ya GST as well as Trade License both are required as GST comes under commercial Taxes and Trade License is provided by Municipal Authorities

Trade License is a license or permission issued by the municipal corporation granting permission to carry on a particular trade on a particular address. The validity of trade license online is one year. Visit here: https://vakilsearch.com/trade-license
