We will brake the gold bar two times so that we can get three pices of it as1st pc will contain ''1 Gold Segment", 2nd pc contain "2 Gold Segment" and remaining pc have "4 Gold Segment". Now we will pay in following manner-

Day 1 - "1 Gold Segment" pc should be given to worker

Day 2 - "2 Gold Segment" pc should be given and taken back "1 Gold Segment" pc

Day 3 - Again "1 Gold Segment" pc should be given

Day 4 - "4 Gold Segment" pc should be given and taken back "1 & 2 Gold Segment" pc

Day 5 - Again "1 Gold Segment" pc should be given

Day 6 - "2 Gold Segment" pc should be given and taken back " 1 Gold Segment" pc

Day 7 - Finally "1 Gold Segment" pc should be given.

Ans is...

We make pcs as 1st part which contain 1pc then 2nd part which contain 2 connected pc and 3rd part which contain which contain 4 connected pcs. so the break will be after 1st pc and 3rd pc. so it is only 2 breaks and breaks bar into 3 parts as i mentioned.

At the end of day first we pay 1 pc. second day we pay 2nd part which contain 2 pcs and take back 1st day pc. On third day we pay 1 part pc to make it 3. On fourth day we take back all pcs and pays 3rd part contains 4 pcs. on fifth day we pay 1st part means 1 pc. on sixth day we pay 2nd part which contain 2 pcs and take back 1st part of 1 pc. on seventh day we pay rest which is 1st part of 1 pc.
